Earth Day Volunteer Event
Volunteer with us in celebration of Earth Day! Events will take place outdoors in the Middle School Garden and at the Farm, please dress accordingly (dress for the weather, closed toed shoes, bring garden gloves, water bottle, rain coat)
Arrive at 10am, meet in Ishpeming Middle School Cafeteria (please use the Pearl St. entrance) , refreshments will be served
Begin volunteering at 10:30am
Lunch 1pm-2pm
Rain date: May 4th
If available please bring; bring hard rakes, leaf rakes, wheel barrows, pruners/loppers

DIY Gardening: Growing on a budget
This workshop will focus on how to grow food and other plants without breaking the bank. We will talk about low-cost (or free) ways to start seeds, propagate plant divisions, and get creative in the process. Ideal for renters, container gardeners, and growers of all ages and abilities. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Help be apart of the growing sustainable solution by learning to save valuable seeds with Ray Bush from Queen City Seed Library! Everyone is invited! You are not required to bring seeds.
Water Bath Canning Workshop
Join us to learn how to use your water bath canner to preserve high acid foods. After reviewing the basics, this class will make strawberry lemonade concentrate for a taste of summer during the cold winter months.
